New Partnership with the Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield Foundation

IARCA has received a one-year, $40,000 grant from the Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield Foundation to help Indiana’s behavioral health community ensure that vulnerable children and families receive high-quality, effective supports and services.

Recognizing the specialized training required to effectively provide therapy to children who have experienced trauma, the Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield Foundation is helping IARCA provide two additional Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy trainings in the next year. These evidence-based trainings will help therapists throughout the state better serve Hoosier children. By supporting IARCA’s Training and Technical Assistance project, the Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield Foundation will help bring additional trauma-informed trainings for Indiana’s child-serving community.

Additionally, the Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield Foundation grant will allow IARCA to offer secondary trauma trainings. People who work with children and families with trauma are themselves susceptible to emotional duress due to hearing about traumatic events. To date, training on this issue has been hard to find in Indiana. Thanks to support from the Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield Foundation, IARCA will be offering six, one-day trainings throughout the state for staff of all levels.

Please keep an eye on IARCA’s website, Facebook, and Twitter for announcements about these exciting trainings.
